Cookie Notice

Last updated: September 21, 2026

This notice explains how Scatter ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on scatterhair.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things about your visit — what is in your cart, whether you are signed in, which pages you have seen. Similar technologies, including pixels, tags and local storage, do comparable things, and this notice covers those too.

What we use, and why

Strictly necessary

These are required for the store to function and cannot be switched off. They keep items in your cart, maintain your session, carry you through checkout, and protect against fraud and abuse. They are set by Shopify, the ecommerce platform that runs this store.

Analytics and performance

These help us understand which pages people visit, how they arrive, and where the site is slow or confusing. We use Google Tag Manager and Ahrefs Analytics for this. The information is used in aggregate to improve the site.

Marketing and email

We use Mailchimp to manage email sign-ups and to understand whether our emails and campaigns bring people to the site. If you sign up for our list, we use these technologies to send you the messages you asked for and to measure whether they were useful.

Fonts and content delivery

Adobe Fonts (Typekit) serves the typefaces used across the site, and Shopify's content delivery network serves our images and scripts. These involve a request to a third-party server in order to display the page correctly.

Your choices

  • Consent controls. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings on this site.
  • Opting out of sharing. You can tell us not to share your personal information for targeted advertising through our Your Privacy Choices page.
  • Global Privacy Control. We honour the GPC browser signal where the law requires it.
  • Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.

US state privacy rights

If you live in California, or in another US state with a comparable law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, use the Your Privacy Choices page or contact us at hello@scatterhair.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when the technologies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
